Another one of mum's secret recipes that had the neighbourhood kids jumping off the bus three stops early for afternoon tea. These cookies are super chewy and flavoursome   with crispy coated smarties that melt in your mouth with every bite (brb...i've just talked myself into a trip to the cookie jar).
